Dan Marous is the Managing Partner of CXO Partners’ Supply Chain Leadership & Services. As an accomplished executive with extensive supply chain operations and demand generation experience, he assists clients in the retail, furniture, apparel, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) industries as an interim Chief Supply Chain Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Dan provides clients with CEO and Board-level supply chain strategy, capital planning requirements, and risk mitigation options — including near-shore alternatives. He also develops supply chain organizational structures, selects technology systems, and coaches/mentors emerging leaders.
In addition, Dan devises organic, channel, and acquisition growth that includes network and facility expansion, automation, and co-manufacturing partnerships. Dan is also called on to select companies for acquisition and can provide both due diligence and post-acquisition integration of those companies.
Dan also leads transformational initiatives that include NetSuite implementations, automation of manual distribution centers, and systems and process implementations.
During his distinguished career, Dan served as Chief Customer Operating Officer and COO for Tegra Global, a $385M clothing company. He was also Chief Supply Chain Officer for Finish Line, a leading omni-channel athletic footwear retailer. Dan also held multiple executive roles with Staples, Inc. across retail, DTC, and B2B supply chain operations. He began his career with Proctor & Gamble.
Dan has a B.S. in Finance from Miami of Ohio University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
