Pete Ruys is a mission-critical construction and design executive who leads all aspects of large-scale, complex projects, including data centers, AI sites, and specialty buildings for supply chain initiatives.

From the conception and design of new projects with senior leadership teams to the refitting and repurposing of existing strategic assets, Pete provides full on-site project delivery, design, and construction administration for multi-million-dollar commercial projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, timeline, and client satisfaction standards.

Throughout his career, he has directed design and construction administration for over 100 sites, including switch sites, POPs, and data centers for clients such as Google, Equifax, IBM, and major telecom companies. He has also managed large-scale commercial and data center projects, data center conversions, renovation and adaptive reuse projects, Class-A office tower construction, and live data center renovations with upgraded power and cooling systems.

Among his signature projects are warehouse-to-data-center conversions for Google in Georgia, a new ground-up site for Google in Oregon, and Class A tower construction for Atlanta’s award-winning Avalon and Atlantic Station developments.

His firm, Ruys & Company, is regarded as one of Georgia’s top consultancies for mission-critical design and construction projects, and has been recognized in the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Interior Design Magazine for excellence in commercial interior design.

In addition, he has held construction management positions with Hines, QTS Data Centers, Prime Architecture, and Morrison Hershfield.

Pete is a licensed architect and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Visual Arts in Interior Design from Georgia State University.

His commitment to precision and leadership was shaped early in his career when he served three years in the United States Navy as an Engine Room Officer, Guided Missile Officer, and Assistant Communications Officer while stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
