Gabriella Poczo is a highly accomplished technology executive with extensive experience providing product and technology vision, rapid product launches, and business/digital transformations as CIO and CTO for consumer mobile, fintech, payments, communications, and software/SaaS within both small and large global companies.

As a leader, Gabriella creates consumer-focused workplace cultures, builds productive and empowered hybrid workforces, and values diversity of thought as a catalyst for sustainable progress.

Most recently, Gabriella served as American Express’ VP, Software Engineering where she led AMEX’s highest priority digital/technology transformation initiatives, including Business Platinum Card revenue, and a $3B portfolio of commercial products and services including Business Checking Accounts, Cross Border Payments Platforms, Corporate Payments, Business Financing, Invoice Financing and Working Capital Loan platforms.  She also led M&A due diligence and technology integrations for the Kabbage acquisition.

Prior to AMEX, Gabriella was Chief Technology Officer for WorldRemit, Inc. and was responsible for launching the first Mobile Remittance platform for Emerging Markets in 120 countries. In the earlier stages of her career, Gabriella served as Chief Technology Officer for Textplus, Inc.Managing Director, Mobile Engineering for Skype, Inc. where she led the transition from desktop to mobile; Senior Director, Mobile Engineering for T-Mobile where she launched the first Android mobile handset; and Chief Enterprise IT Architect for Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Gabriella holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from Ryerson University and an Executive Diploma in Marketing Management from York University.

A true thought leader in her space, Gabriella served as an AMEX Executive Sponsor for Women in Technology, growing the community 5X in three years. She has also earned a variety of awards and recognitions throughout her career, including Award for Innovation, Chairman’s Award, and CEO Select Advanced Leadership Development from AMEX.
