His career is distinguished by his deep involvement in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and capital-raising initiatives across a variety of industries, including energy, manufacturing, financial services, and telecommunications.
During his career, he has served in key executive roles, including at Quanex Building Products and Omega Protein Corporation. At Quanex, Mark was instrumental in removing silos and consolidating all finance/accounting functions. Additionally, Mark played a key finance role in executing a $92 million acquisition and leading immediate integration into the existing finance structure.
He’s also served in executive roles at ION Geophysical; Symetra Financial, where he was Chief Auditor; Qwest Communications, where he served as Director of Internal Audit; PwC, Global Marine, and Trammel Crow Company. Mark began his career with Arthur Andersen.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and has been a Certified Public Accountant in Texas since 1987.
